After careful research, Stamford based City Carting bought a Bollegraaf single stream system from VAN DYK Recycling Solutions. The state-of-the-art system is engineered with the latest technology by Bollegraaf.
March 2014 – City Carting and Recycling of Stamford, CT started up their Bollegraaf single stream system at the end of February, 2014. This 25-30 tph Bollegraaf system, supplied by VAN DYK Recycling Solutions, operates with just sixteen manual sorters. The 14,000 square foot tipping floor has ample room for residential single stream loads and commercial material. The system incorporates Lubo StarScreens® and four TOMRA AUTOSORT 4s, TOMRA’s newest autosort model, which features the latest FLYING BEAM® technology, faster valves, and no external lamps. It also includes a Lubo glass clean up system and a Bollegraaf HBC 120S baler. PET, PP, and PE are all automatically sorted. Residue rates are under five percent.
Joe Fiorello, owner of City Carting, said of his new system, “The craftsmanship and quality of the equipment was beyond my expectations. It was operational on day one and performed to the manufacturer’s promise.”
