POSITION: Design Engineer
LOCATION: Van Dyk Recycling Solutions, 360 Doctor Martin Luther King Jr. Dr., Norwalk, CT 06854
Duties
Responsible for designing, developing and releasing assemblies for sales purposes, while working within the design team atmosphere. Works directly with the sales managers and other design engineers using 3D Modeling Software, primarily Autodesk Inventor.
- Generating technical drawings based off sketches, templates, prototypes, documents, or descriptions of products.
- Interfacing with the CAD system to provide necessary modeling and detailing support for existing and new assemblies and sub-assemblies.
- Must have experience with mechanical detailing and be able to interpret engineering drawings and develop 3D CAD models and 2D CAD drawings.
- Generating Bill of Material in the manufacturing system.
- Responsible for back checking own work to minimize rework.
- Work with various departments supplying and verifying necessary data for producing acceptable products.
- Assisting other team personnel on drafting standards, engineering practices.
REQUIREMENTS: B.Eng. or Eng. subset & 2 yrs. exp.
HOURS: Full-time, 40 hours per week.
SALARY: $60,000.00 + depending on education and experience
